Freshwater Sharks Threaten To Disrupt Summit.

MOSCOW, Russia. Russian organizers of the Obama-Medvedev summit announced on Thursday that the July 6-8 meeting may be cancelled altogether over sighting of bear sharks in the Moskva River.
“You know how much Dmitry (Medvedev) and (Foreign Minister) Sergei (Lavrov) crave spearfishing and they both hoped to introduce Barak and Hillary (Clinton) to this wonderful sport, but we have a feeling that the American side may chicken out because of the sharks,” said Akulov, a senior Russian diplomat, who runs the foreign ministry’s department for game, fish and arms control The diplomat – who spoke on condition that his first name to be withheld because he was not authorized to comment on internal matters, such as bear sharks - speculated that Clinton might have intentionally broken her elbow to back out of the spearfishing trip.
The diplomat admitted that not even Russian SEALs might be able to guarantee safety of the honorable foreign guests from the bearsharks. These fearsome intrepid freshwater predators are thought to have been attracted to the murky rivers of the Moskva river from the north by the imported pork which smugglers had to dump when their powerboat was intercepted by the Akula class attack submarine armed with 24 SLBM’s to fight trafficking in humans and other dangerous substances.
Akulov said as many as two 10-meter bearsharks have been sighted along the Kremlin embankment on Thursday and another one is thought to have navigated through the sewage system of the Russian capital to eat one retired paratrooper cooling off in the fountain in front of the Bolshoi Theater. |
